Tips for Working with Printable Scrapbooking Stickers
Working with free printable scrapbooking stickers is like having a scrapbook store in your computer. All you need to do is choose your design and print it onto the paper of your choice. However, the following tips can help make sure you get the best results from your project:
- Print a test copy of your design on plain paper before you use your self-adhesive sticker paper. This will help you avoid wasting your expensive specialty paper by making sure everything is positioned correctly.
- Set your printer on the "high" quality setting so your stickers have crisp, vibrant colors when printed.
- Do not touch the paper for several minutes after it is printed to make sure the ink has dried completely.
- Circle and square punches make it easy to cut out printable scrapbook stickers in a hurry.
- For stickers with a great deal of detail, use a craft knife or the Honey Bee scissors from EK Success to cut out the design.
- If you want to make your own epoxy bubble stickers, cover the images on your sticker sheet with a thin layer of Diamond Glaze. When it dries, the Diamond Glaze will give your sticker a raised and shiny appearance. To give the sticker a slightly aged look, bend it back and forth until tiny cracks appear.
- To make stickers that shiny, coat the image with clear adhesive and small microbreads.
- If you make a mistake when placing your sticker on your layout, use Un-Du adhesive remover to gently lift the sticker from the paper.
